Starting today fans of Castrol GTX funny car driver Ashley Force Hood can race the 2007 NHRA Rookie of the Year in cyberspace and have a chance to win a 2009 Ford Mustang or a variety of other prizes instantly.
Fans can visit www.gtxnationals.com, register and begin competing. Game codes can be obtained by purchasing specially marked Castrol GTX Motor Oil at participating retailers in 5 quart, 5.5 quart or gallon size. Players can request a free game code through the mail. Only one game code is necessary to play the Castrol GTX Nationals.
In addition to the programmed racing action fans can design their own Ford Mustang Funny Car. Fans are prompted throughout the site by personal videos from Force Hood.
“I am excited to be involved in the Castrol GTX Nationals. It is really a fun game for Castrol fans to spend a few minutes playing and have a chance to win a 2009 Ford Mustang. Making the videos was interesting to say the least but when you see them in the game they really add an interesting dimension and experience for our fans,” said Force Hood, the first female to win an NHRA Funny Car national event.
One lucky player will win a ‘09 Ford Mustang instantly and additional prizes range from 50 inch Plasma TVs, Home Theaters in a Box, Blu-Ray players, Force Hood autographed die-cast funny cars, BP gift cards, $50 BrandSource gift cards, and $25 Main Gate gift cards.
“The prizes are unbelievable and I really think people will enjoy the feeling of staging their Mustang against my Castrol GTX Mustang and then seeing the cars go down the virtual track. There are a lot of little details that make the game new every time someone plays,” added Force.
Fans can race once a day from Feb. 1 until April 30. To play without purchase or with visiting a participating retailer, fans can send hand-written, self-addressed, stamped envelope to: “Castrol GTX Nationals Instant Win Game Code Request” P.O. Box 709 Bayonne, NJ 07002 while supplies last. Mail request must be postmarked by April 15, 2009.
