“The local Ford dealers are delighted to have this opportunity to showcase our lineup of vehicles as the Official Vehicle of Bristol Motor Speedway. We are extremely proud of the vehicles we sell and know race fans will be excited about them as well,” said Tri-Cities and Charleston Ford Dealer Advertising Group President, John King.

The sponsorship opportunity was initiated by the Tri-Cities and Charleston Ford dealers, independently of Ford Motor Company, through their dealer group advertising fund. Bristol Motor Speedway provides more than 16,000 square feet to display Ford’s latest vehicles, including the 2009 F-150, 2010 Mustang, Fusion Hybrid and Taurus. Sponsorship of the Official Vehicle of Bristol Motor Speedway also includes Pole Day for the March race weekend on March 20, as well as the popular Transporter Parade, set this year for Aug. 20.

“It is exciting for us to renew our partnership with Ford here at Bristol Motor Speedway," said BMS president Jeff Byrd. "We had a strong relationship with them the first two years after Speedway Motorsports Inc. purchased the track and teaming up with them again in partnership with the dealers of this region is a good fit.

"The list of winners who have steered a Ford into victory lane here at BMS reads like a who's who of NASCAR legends. As a matter of fact, Ford drivers have been dominant in the last four August Cup events with Matt Kenseth and Carl Edwards both winning twice. We are anticipating many new and exciting ventures to come from this partnership," added Byrd.

The vehicle sponsorship was previously held by General Motors.
